Lush Haul

Hi my lovelies. After heading to the gym on Saturday I popped into the Lush Store with an urge to splurge. I am a massive Lushie. My skin is very sensitive to a lot of chemicals and preservatives, so Lush is often my go to for skincare. The only things I haven't been able to use are their facial moisturisers, which contain parabens, and some strongly scented products.

Ingredients: Oat milk, Rose Water, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Cocoa Butter, Glycerine, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Tincture of Benzoin, Rose Absolute, Chamomile Blue Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Lavender Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Perfume, Propylparaben.
Dream Cream is a product that I have used previously and I was in the mood to treat myself to a nice body cream. The parabens act as a preservative for the more natural ingredients. As a result I can't use this cream on my face, however it is fine for the less sensitive skin on my body. It's quite a heavy moisturiser that takes a while to sink in so I would recommend using it at night. That's when I prefer to use it anyway as I find the calming scent helps me nod off. It isn't the cheapest body lotion around at $29.95 for 240g, but if you're looking for a nice treat then I highly recommend it.
Ingredients: Kaolin, Fresh Green Grapes, Fresh Free Range Eggs, Honey, Cornstarch, Glycerine, Fresh Garlic, Tea Tree Oil, Limonene, Perfume
If you are a regular reader you may remember me mentioning lusting after a different Fresh Face Mask in this post. However after chatting with one of the girls I instead decided to plump for the Cosmetic Warrior instead. This is a calming and clarifying mask. The Kaolin clay and free range eggs really tighten the pores and this does set like a regular clay mask. The honey and tea tree are antibacterial and are great for any blemishes and the grapes are great for calming down sensitive skin. Before you commit though I would definitely recommend smelling this one. It has garlic in, which gives it a rather odd smell. You don't notice the scent once the mask is on your skin, but it definitely would keep the vampires at bay.

If you're wanting to give one of these masks a try, pop into a store and they'll recommend one based on your skin's needs. These can to be kept in the fridge for up to two weeks, although you can freeze them to get a longer shelf life. They retail for $16.95 for 75g or free if you return 5 empty Lush containers to a store.

I also picked up a couple of bath bombs whilst I was there. With uni being so stressful at the moment it's always nice to take some time out for a soak in the tub. I picked out Twilight (top) and Phoenix Rising (bottom). Twilight is my favourite Lush bath ballistic. I find the scent sends me straight off to sleep. Phoenix Rising is my mum's favourite and I thought I'd pick one up for her as she isn't often in the city. Make sure you check out our Instagram as I'm sure to post a picture of my pretty bath water once I have a chance to use it. Both of these retail for $5.95 and it's possible to get multiple uses out of them. Personally having a bath is a luxury for me so I usually go all out and chuck the whole thing in.

That's my little haul done. I was feeling very inspired to blog about my Lush experience as shopping in there is always a pleasure. The assistants are super friendly and I love buying off them because you can tell they genuinely love what they're selling.

What are your favourites from Lush?

Jess xx
