Hi guys! I had hoped to post a haul up today, however my parcel has not arrived so that plan was quickly dashed. Instead here is my latest makeup obsession - plum eyeliner. I have been wearing it non-stop this week. I think it's an attempt to bring on the cooler weather with wintery hues. This particular eyeliner is 'Dark Diversion' by MAC. Unfortunately this is a limited-edition shade, but it is repromoted frequently during the autumn/winter time. There is also a fairly similar shade in the permanent line, but the name of it escapes me.
Gel eyeliner and I are not the best of friends. I much prefer q liquid eyeliner for its quick application and precision. However, when I have some time on my hands I will whip out a gel. I find the lasting power on gel eyeliners to be phenomenal. Now I know a workman shouldn't blame her tools, but I think the reason I struggle with gel liner so much is that I haven't found the right brush. Pictured above is the Sigma E05 Liner Brush and I find it a bit too big for my tastes. I am tempted to invest in the Louise Young Brush that the Pixiwoo sisters are always banging on about.
The rest of my makeup is pretty light today. Just a sheer wash of Illamasqua's eyeshadow in Vintage. That particular shade is only in the Neutral Palette (pictured) but any bronze shade would work. Illamasqua make some fantastic eyeshadows. Don't be put off by their creative makeup, they make more than green lipstick and there are some great neutrals to be found.
I won't bore you guys with my base makeup as it is the same as ever, for more details check out this post. Ooh and if anyone is looking for a great cheapie gel liner the Essence liners are amazing! They are super waterproof and are only about $5. Now that's a bargain.
If anyone has any suggestions for liner brushes please leave them below, I would love your help.
Enjoy your weekends,
Jess xx
P.S. As I finished typing my parcel arrived... I guess you guys can look forward to that post next week haha
Plum eyeliner seems like a fun alternative for brown. I'll have to try it. And thanks for the Essence suggestion--I'll have to try their liners! I have their sharpener and it's great (it was $2, so much cheaper that Urban Decay's and works just as well).

It's such a shame Essence don't make a plum eyeliner, but the black one is now my staple black gel liner :)
