OOTD | Rekindled Love

Shift dress - Can You Keep a Secret / Anorak - Gorman / Belt - thrifted / Loafers - Shag Vintage / Bangle - gifted and not branded

Hello spring, it's ever so nice to see you peeking around the corner. I wait all year from this kind of weather and it's very slowly creeping into the end of winter.

I am again rocking my favourite loafers which I hope to get as much wear out of before it's too hot for leather shoes in the summer.

The denim anorak you see is from my favourite designer, Gorman, and has seen far too little wear since I purchased it. It is a little bit too oversized and can be kind of awkward to wear but it still has me head over heels for it's casual-chic charm. It's been too cold to wear it this winter but I will definitely be letting it see more sunshine when spring rocks around.

I picked this simple summer dress up in a sale at my favourite vintage store, Can You Keep a Secret? a few months back and have never really worn it either. Ditto for the belt which I think I found thrift shopping one day.

I will definitely going to make more use of these garments, especially the anorak, this spring. I love the combination of a light block coloured jacket with a cutesy print like the gum-nut/eucalyptus on this dress.

Happy hump-day!

OOTD | Climbing Cathedrals

Jacket Monki / Necklace eBay / Crop Top Nasty Gal / Jeans Gorman / Socks Target / Shoes Nike Air

Hi lovelies! I am just back from my trip to England. I am absolutely knackered after who knows how many hours in transit but pleased to be back typing this from my own bed. As you might have guessed I got a little shutter happy whilst away. Once I sort through it all I'll be sure to post some up on the blog.

OOTD | All Play

Pineapple Picnic Shorts - Gorman / Basic Black Singlet - Target / White Over-shirt - Thrifted / White Stereo Sandals - London Rebel via Famous Footwear / Lattice Owl Sunglasses - eBay / 106 Lasting Finish by Kate - Rimmel

One of my favourite trends this season is fruit. Fruit on everything. However, as with any trend, there is only so much of it one can add to their wardrobe before all of it will become irrelevant when the season moves on. I normally try to find one piece I adore and this time (actually most of the time) Gorman delivered. My beautiful friends Jess and Honor purchased these beautiful Pineapple Picnic shorts for my birthday last week and I am head over heels in love.

OOTD | Oh How Hibiscus

Sandbank Dress - Gorman / long tweed coat - thrifted / 70 denier black opaque tights - VooDoo / sunglasses - Sportsgirl / tan suede boots - Windsor Smith

How I wish the weather was still as beautiful as it was in these photos. Winter is such a confusing time of year because we expect it to be cold but sunny and it never quite is; rain always seems to catch us off guard and dampen the season. Anyway, this is a quick outfit post of something I put together recently right before I was due to get my fringe trimmed (as you can see it is sneakily pinned back to hide my shame).

Like many things in Gorman, I had lusted over this dress until I found it on sale earlier this year. It is the perfect drop-waist dress made from a super soft but firm cotton with the most perfectly positioned pockets (for a dress anyway). As it has been getting colder it has been getting neglected quite seriously but on this warmer day I decided to whip it out to celebrate. It does have a boat neckline and angular sleeves so it needs strict guidance when under a jacket.

OOTD | All Mesh

Beanie Band Merch / Lipstick Hourglass Rouge Opaque in Raven / Jumper NastyGal / Jeans Gorman High Waisted Cords / Shoes River Island via ASOS / Jacket Charlie Brown

Hi lovelies! Much as I love summer, I am not sure what I'll do when it's too hot to wear beanies. Today's beanie offering is from one of my favourite Australian bands, Karnivool. I'd really recommend a listen and they've got a new album out soon.

In case previous outfits haven't clued you in I am a bit of a fan of black. One of my favourite ways to wear an all black ensemble is with some silver accessories. Silver rings and silver shoes break up the black a little, as does my usual red lipstick. In my last post I mentioned I was cleaning out my shoe closet, well I rediscovered these beauties. So simple, but I love the way they the catch the sunlight

OOTD | Wearable Blanket

Jacket - Box Vintage / Chambray Shirt - Thrifted / Raglan Shirt - PulpKitchen from Dangerfield / Black High Waisted Skinny Jeans - Gorman / Brown Leather Boots - R.M. Williams

Every morning I get up for work it seems to be getting colder and colder. Last weekend I found the solution for not wanting to get out of bed. The only vintage store in Brisbane guaranteed to squeeze money out of my very tight wallet, Box Vintage, provided me with some much needed Saturday satisfaction. I walked in looking for a denim jacket and was fairly unimpressed with the offerings but found this amazing jacket instead. Not only is the wickedly kitsch fabric fashioned into a classic 80s bomber style but the entirety of this coat is lined with what feels like pillow stuffing. I fell in love instantly and knew if I didn't purchase it on the spot I would regret it forever.
