Hi lovelies! Now that weather has finally cooled down I have been having a great time rediscovering the pieces that were too hot to face in the summer. When I initially purchased these leather shorts I barely took them off, and I am so glad to be able to wear them. They make for an essential staple piece for night and day.

 Hi lovelies! So as you can see by the sun in the above photos, it still isn't really cold enough in Brisbane to justify wearing leather trousers. However I was too impatient to wait for the weather, so I am currently sticking to air conditioned locations and wearing them regardless.

Hi lovelies! My love for beanies extends into the summer apparently. This one is by UNIF (preditably) and it was on clearance on Urban Outfitters back in September. The weather has been pretty typical for a Brisbane summer lately with gorgeous sunny days and then pouring rain come 5 o'clock. So wearing a beanie isn't that ridiculous... at least that's what I'm telling myself.

Hi lovelies! Have any of you noticed a pattern in my outfits? My love for beanies has reached new heights, especially as I haven't had my hair coloured in a while. Waking up for an 8am lecture on constitutional law doesn't have me in the best of moods in the morning and I can chuck a beanie on without having to spend any time putting together an outfit. The second photo is a fairly accurate portrayal of me pre-caffeine.

Hi lovelies! Much as I love summer, I am not sure what I'll do when it's too hot to wear beanies. Today's beanie offering is from one of my favourite Australian bands, Karnivool. I'd really recommend a listen and they've got a new album out soon. 

In case previous outfits haven't clued you in I am a bit of a fan of black. One of my favourite ways to wear an all black ensemble is with some silver accessories. Silver rings and silver shoes break up the black a little, as does my usual red lipstick. In my last post I mentioned I was cleaning out my shoe closet, well I rediscovered these beauties. So simple, but I love the way they the catch the sunlight

Hi lovelies! If you've been reading this corner of the interwebs for any length of time you may have figured out that I'm more of a shorts and t-shirt kind of girl. However every so often there is a dress that is too perfect to pass up. 

Like the vast majority of UNIF's releases this dress was love at first sight. It was also crazy pricey, but my patience paid off and I got it for a steal from Urban Outfitters. The tulle layers under the skirt give a really girly vibe to the dress. It's an unusual feeling for me, dressing girly, but every so often I like to remember my childhood love of dresses. I went through a stage of refusing to wear anything but dresses, even when going to the park. My how times change.

 Hi lovelies! Back with another outfit for you today. I realised this morning that I am yet to introduce my leather jacket to you all. Considering how often I wear it that is a real travesty. My jacket was picked up 75% off in the Myer stocktake sale last year. A leather jacket is an essential for me perfect to throw over everything. I feel it's a clothing piece worth investing in as good leather will last you years. 

The other two items are also sale buys bought from Dollskill. The UNIF shirt is perfect. It's oversized, ridiculously soft, and split right the way up the sides. So easy to just throw on and go. The shorts are a tiny bit too big, hence the belt, but I'll take them in a bit. They're an awesome length, short but not too short. And tailored shorts are a nice change from my usual denim pair.
