Yep, you guessed it, this is another post about how I keep my skin thoroughly moisturised during the harsh dry weather that winter brings. As I get older I definitely realising how much moisture my skin needs. My skin gets a pretty harsh treatment in my day to day life; overly hot shower, drying face cleansers, working with my hands in and out of water, and even licked lips in the wind. I've done another post reviewing my favourite hand creams which you can view here. This post will focus on more all-round products that you can use to nourish any dry patches you have needing attention.

Skin | Winter Hand Cream Essentials
Winter means a lot of things but one of the least favourable is dry skin. The skin on my hands is dry and damaged at the best of times (no matter what product I use) but winter is particularly bad. I have purchased and tried a lot of different hand creams in my life and have put a collection of what I think to be the best of the bunch. Some are on the the go at the moment and some are definitely on my list of options when purchasing more.

Playlist | Fronts Like These
Fronts Like These from aroseandapeony on 8tracks Radio.
I find that music really helps get me through the cold fronts that brace beautiful Brisbane at this time of the year. I see a lot less live music, probably because it's much to cold to go out but I seem to have the highest quantity of new and old tunes streaming through my headphones. I go to music for comfort and memories as well as for something to make me feel less like a cold blooded animal unable to move without sunshine.
I've put together this playlist of songs that have helped me get going in the last few weeks. Some of them are new tunes and some are older (not by much) and well loved.

Travel | Melbourne
Hi lovelies! This blog post definitely wins the award for longest uploading time. Since switching to a DSLR the picture quality certainly means a longer upload time, but I think it's worth it in the end. I just couldn't choose which pictures to take with me. This was the first proper big test out I've had with my camera and I couldn't be happier. For any fellow camera enthusiasts I used a Canon EOS 60D with a Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 lens all weekend.
In case you hadn't guessed from the title I was in Melbourne this weekend. This was my first trip since my eighteenth birthday and I loved bar hopping, despite the cold. I had planned on taking outfit photos to show you all, but to be honest it was far too cold to even contemplate removing any layers.

Review | Illamasqua Blush Duo
Swatched. Top - Bronzerella Bottom - Beg
Hi lovelies! Today's post is going to be a review (slash rave) about a new Illamasqua product. Definitely one of my favourite makeup brands. They're always releasing something a little bit different and everything I've tried from the brand has been fantastic quality.
Today is no different. This is their Blush Duo in Beg/Bronzerella. Bronzerella is a frosted copper. I must confess I am a little terrified of putting this colour on my cheeks without having a serious tanning session first, but I have been loving wearing it as an eyeshadow. It makes for a quick, one-shadow smokey eye that I have been wearing everyday since I bought it. Bronzerella is exclusive to the duo, and can't be bought separately.

OOTD | Short Shorts
Coat - Vero Moda via ASOS / Shirt UNIF / Shorts MinkPink / Shoes T.U.K. Mondo Creepers
Hey lovelies. I mentioned awhile ago about testing new outfits for those chilly winter nights. This is one outfit that I road tested on Saturday. I am pleased to report that thanks to the coat, which is wool and rather warm that I was snug in a bug in a rug, even with my legs out.

Winter Moisture
We all know the drill when it comes to the cooler change in seasons: dry skin, dry skin, and more dry skin. If you have a job that requires intense use of your hands you might know this pain better than others. I've compiled a post for you today of my favourite remedies for soothing the dry skin on your precious limbs.

OOTD Blazing a Trail
Blazer Thrifted / Shirt Thrifted / Necklace Thrifted / Shorts American Apparel / Socks ASOS / Shoes River Island via ASOS
So there was actually a chill in the air this morning! And rain! So what have I put on? A Hawaiian shirt, duh. In all seriousness I have been longing for the cooler weather. I love a good jacket and also part of me wanted to show off my extreme op shop bargains. Both the blazer and the shirt were $2! And they both had never been worn. Sunshine coast op shops are crazy. So much cheaper than Brisbane.
