'Ungrateful Life' Crop by Evil Twin via DollsKill / Dungarees ElectricSkinnyVintage / Shoes T.U.K. Mondo Creepers / Pyramid Pack by UNIF via Dollskill

Hi lovelies! Today's photos were my first experiment with my new camera lens. I finally bit the bullet and bought the Canon 50mm 1.4f USM lens ...and it's beautiful. I have only ever used zoom lenses in the past, so I think it will take a bit of getting used to. I shall refrain from getting into the technicalities, but I can't wait to take some beauty photos with this guy.

It was really stuffy and humid today, so I kept things simple with a tie dyed cropped tank from Evil Twin. Although Evil Twin is stocked in Australia I tend to look out for it in online sales, to make the price more bearable. This tank was a bargain at $10 in a recent DollsKill sale.

The creepers and the dungarees are regulars in my wardrobe and they get worn no matter the weather. Although corduroy dungarees aren't the most summer-y clothing choice they are just so easy to throw on with a crop top and run out the door. Very little planning required.

The part I am most excited about is this fabulous UNIF backpack. It's leather, has plenty of compartments, fits all my camera bits inside it and it's a backpack. In short it is the perfect bag for me. The reflective UNIF logo advertises my addiction to the world. Sadly it is currently out of stock on DollsKill, but hopefully it comes back soon.

After my super hectic weekend at work it was nice to have a lazy day today watching Breaking Bad and playing with my camera. Done with uni for the year and I have all of the summer holidays ahead of me to photograph.

What did you get up to this weekend?

Jess xx
